Metropolis is the greatest anime movie I have ever watched, I can’t find a single flaw in it, nor would a flaw ruin what the movie is. I honestly came in with little to no expectations and my mind has been blown with the way the movie progressed and the way the characters developed. The animations were so silky smooth as well and the CGI fit in perfectly for the backgrounds, the stylised look of an “old” anime as well as osamu tezuka’s art style were perfect as the art style looks sort of cartoonish however the contrast with how dark and cynical the movie is, works perfectly IMO. The soundtrack is nothing short of excellence either and honestly the entire movie was an experience I believe everyone should try. I honestly can’t recommend this movie enough to people it’s really that good. If your looking to watch something a bit darker or even just a good way to spend an hour and 40 mins please go and watch this masterpiece
